Okay, so we don't have a gaming board but I thought I would throw this in.
Let's all just say <3 to EA today with the release of the sims 3. In 2000 I was captivated by The Sims.
But for those who are like "wtf is the sims?!" I'll explain.
It's basically a virtual doll house, and you're god. To begin with the sims had 4 viewable angles that you could rotate around. Sorta like seeing for house from the north south east and west. You could pick your characters outfit and hair. You could place furniture on a grid. they went to work. They went to school. They invited friends over. And they could adopt children. But they would NEVER age. Adult were adults. And children were children. Forever. Babies would grow one time into a children aswell. Then freeze.

Then in 2003 a gamer magazine came out with an article about the sims 2. I personally was astonished. There were life stages! And you could rotate to any angle you wanted. Customize they face in so many ways. Fix their shirt and pant or wear an outfit. There were so many clothing options. And even pregnancy! It was a very large step for the sims universe. But there was still serious limitations.
So today is the Release of the sims 3. Now adding another life stage and a more detailed pregnancy with hospital delivery options. And you can customize ANYTHING.
The details to me are still alittle hazy butttttt I get my game on Thursday night =] (it was shipped to my old house so we're going to get it) and I'll tell you more about the sims 3. <3
Anyway! Let's all just say <3 to EA for this AWESOME game series. And to like everyone for making it the single most bought game series in history.
