mmk that is the creepiest pic of him I have ever seen xD and I thought he looked creepy in Sweeny Todd Okay so new movie premiering March 5, 2010 Alice in WonderlandIt's being directed by Tim Burton. Some notable cast members: Johnny Depp (Sweeny Todd & Jack Sparrow) Helena Bohman Carter (Mrs.Lovetts & Bellatrix Lestrange) Alan Rickman (Judge Turpin & Severas Snape) Anne Hathaway (Mia Thermopolis & Agent 99) It's of course expected to be much more dark and sinister as a Burton film, but considering Alice in wonderland (the novel) was a more sinister book I'm pretty content with it. Lewis Carrol was actually on acid when he wrote Alice. Maybe this version will reflect Lewis's imagination more so then the Disney version Johnny Depp as the Madder Hatter

Why do they have such a dark view of the World? Did they have a hard life or something?

You seem to not like anything that shows peoples true darker sides, do you Bella? Like real people. As I said in our many many messages Nessi. Most brilliant people in history (and modern times) weren't totally sane. I don't know Johnny, Burton, Sylvia, Einstein, Emily, Poe, or any other famous brilliant anything to say what was up with them, but I do know they were fantastically insane. or totally incompetent is everyday common sense.

Lol suicide by sticking your head in an oven is most defiantly insane O.o. Totally alienating yourself from everyone you love for years for "the creative process" isn't totally sane. lol srsly idk. I guess I'm one of those fokes who sees the darker side to everything. Then again I can easily relate. Mental instability is in my genetics

No, I don't mean that sucide is sane but you listed people who were 'insane' and you don't know them or why they did what they did.

We're talking about brilliant but insane figures in history. Sylvia Path was a very talented American writer. But she was totally bonkers and killed herself by carbon monoxide poisoning. Emily Dickinson was brilliant aswell but for reasons unknown to anyone but emily she completely exiled herself from the outside world, even her husband.

Pretty dead topic, but I can't help to join in Too excited for Alice in Wonderland. I love everyone in this (except for Hathaway). Tim Burton is my favorite director (love Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd, etc.) Johnny Depp is amazing, not always the most sane person with his roles, but I completely admire his way of going about that, and Helena Bonham Carter is my personal favorite actress, glad Burton is sticking with casting his fiancee in everything. I'm the same way, with the darker look on life. I love scary movies (though the unborn was... laughable... I remember seeing Twilight and they showed the trailer... my group of friends was completely freaking out and the movie turns out like it did XD)

Yeah, Tim always has the same cast. It's wierd for me not to see Johnny or Helena in his moving haha I love the dark movies as well. And as you said The Unborn was just terrible. I actually logged on to post my reviews for The Unborn, Taken, and Quarantine.
